Khmer Surin

Khmer Surin has quickly become a favorite. The setting is beautiful and the food is so good. The photo is a wonderful fried rice with pineapple which we had for lunch. Cost is only $4.00.  The food here is very inexpensive and very good. We had the same restaurant cater a dinner at the mission home for 16 people and the cost was only $208.  They delivered hot covered dishes, set up a beautiful serving table and had someone stay to help serve.  Then they cleaned it all up and took dishes away. We had a wonderful evening after two wonderful days.  We had Michael Von Rosen and Mike Otterson from Salt Lake public affairs here to interview some of the members.  The church is working on using social media to reach members and especially those outside the Church.  We had set up appointments with all the district presidents here in Phnom Penh, Vichit Ith who is responsible for getting the Church recognized here in Cambodia and Pres Moon.  What a wonderful experience it was for us to sit and listen to these wonderful men share their conversion stories and their family story. It is very humbling to hear the sacrifices they have made to find and join the church.  We hope to get some things on tape soon and then have a Cambodian Newsroom page go live.  Boy, have we got a lot to learn fast!  We are so lucky to be here.
