We have really been busy the pst few weeks with Open House preparations. We have a shortened time to prepare because the building was almost finished when we arrived in Cambodia. Preparations usually take several months but we have had only about 3 weeks so it has been crazy. Some things have had to be done on Phnom Penh and some in Siem Reap so we have made 3 trips here so far and will make one more final trip for the preparations and then the building will be dedicated the day after the Open House. Elder Pon from the Area Seventy will be here for the Open House and dedication. The building is very beautiful and it almost makes me cry to see it after attending this Branch in their current building which has been rented and is so crowded. Many of them will have to be shown how to use things in this new building. Restrooms are new to some of them. They are such dear, sweet, humble people. We love them. There are some members that are still evacuated from their homes due to the bad flooding here in this area. Other areas are worse and the humanitarian missionaries along with the Red Cross has delivered food to several areas in the country including here in Siem Reap. There are bags of rice and other supplies stacked in the church waiting for distribution. The pictures show Pres. Moon at the time of the food delivery and also a picture of Pres. Loy and his daughter Chetana, as they are planning delivery of invitations to special guests for the Open House.
