Vietnamese Young Single Adult Conference

A historic event took place this past week in Phnom Penh. The YSAs from Vietnam came to Phnom Penh for a conference that included the YSAs from the 3 Vietnamese Branches here in the city.  This is the first time an event like this has happened. Many of the visitors had not been to Cambodia before and were happy to meet together with so many members. The membership is sparse in Vietnam so it was really great for them to feel a sense of community with other members. They met for registration Thursday evening and had a great time with the neighborhood kids jumping in the parking lot while waiting for local members to arrive. Dinner was prepared by a local Vietnamese member family and then everyone met in the chapel where the theme was introduced. Friday morning was for workshops and the afternoon was filled with games and fun.  A devotional was held Saturday morning and then everyone boarded buses for the return trip to Vietnam. Everyone said what a great time they had and were grateful for many new friends who are also Church members.
