On May 3rd the YSAs from Phnom Penh participated with many others the same age from universities throughout the city. A total of 1200 young people participated. We all went out to the site where Habitat for Humanity is building homes for people who have been living at "trash mountain" at the Phnom Penh dump. The dump is now closed and their homes are going to bulldozed. Their homes are made of corrugated iron and cardboard or tarps. There are also about 70 families there who are members of the Church and they will benefit from this project and this is one of the reasons we decided to take this on as a service project for our own young people. Everyone had such a good time and everyone said they made a bunch of new friends. What a great missionary opportunity. We hope that the seeds have been sown for an ongoing relationship with people who will be able to help our members in that area.
